There is no test for HGH or Human Growth Hormone.

In a survey in Germany, 38-63% of athletes were found to have taken drugs and in a separate survey, 50% of athletes thought that half their competitors were on drugs.

Of the small minority of 23 athletes that tested positive in the 2004 Athens Olympics, less than two thirds finished on the podium.

Also by earlier statistics, only about 0.4% of athletes that took performance enhancing drugs were discovered.
